January 6, 2015 - The Sweetlax Elite team traveled to Florida over the December break for the 2014 DICK`S Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions presented by Pasco County. After the three day tournament they found themselves in the finals against the Six Nations Royal Reds team (Ontario, CA). Down 6-2 midway through the second half, Sweetlax came back to tie the game with twelve seconds left in regulation. Within the first minute of overtime, MVP Alex Concannon (who also scored the tying goal) gave Sweetlax the win. The senior will be playing for Johns Hopkins after his final season with Syosset. It was the second straight championship for the team.
Sweetlax started the championship bracket with a 10-3 win in the quarter finals against West Florida. In the semifinals they defeated FCA Colorado 18-3.
The elite division allows any player still in high school on the roster. Teams in the tournament generally qualify for the tournament by winning (or doing very well) in at least one of the official national qualifying tournaments during the June-November (off-season) calendar.
The Sweetlax 2017 (sophomores) team made it to the finals, losing to the Madlax Nationals,11-8.
