The Greater Rochester Chapter of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame will welcome four new members with the induction of Craig Chamberlain, Don Loughlin, David McNaney and Scott Schwind as the Class of 2014. The 21st Annual US Lacrosse, Greater Rochester Chapter, Hall of Fame Dinner will take place on Friday, November 7th at the Burgundy Basin Inn at 1361 Marsh Road in Pittsford.

Craig Chamberlain has coached the Monroe Community College women's lacrosse team since its inception in 2007. During his tenure at MCC, he has led the Tribunes to a 91-16 record in six seasons.

Don Loughlin, a Brooklyn native played lacrosse at Sewanhaka High School. He eventually attended Adelphi University and began a lacrosse program and served as captain. One of his greatest lacrosse achievements was overseeing the Kit program, which was sponsored by USLCA and USILA. It is estimated that 140 high schools and colleges began lacrosse teams as a result of this program. In 1966, he was awarded the USILA’s Man of the Year. From 1968-1988, Loughlin was the principal at Rush Henrietta High School.

Dave McNaney was a standout at Hobart College, where he was a two-time First Team All-American (1976-77), and the country’s Outstanding Midfielder (1977) and Outstanding Player. He is a member of the Hobart Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the California Lacrosse Hall of Fame. In 1978, he played for Team USA and captured a silver medal at the World Field Lacrosse Championships. In 1982, the Seneca Falls, NY native was also named the Outstanding Player at the National Club Championship in Vail.

Scott Schwind was a star lacrosse player at the high school, collegiate and club level before moving into coaching. At Irondequoit High School, he was a two-time All-Tournament Team selection in lacrosse. In college, Schwind was a two-sport athlete playing both football and lacrosse at Cortland. He made four straight NCAA Lacrosse Tournament appearances, and was named the team captain. His biggest influence on the game, however, has been at the youth level. 

Schwind, who has served as the Vice President of the Greater Rochester Chapter, coached the very first youth team in Irondequoit (grades 4-6) in 1991. That same year, he served as the lacrosse coach at Brighton Central School District. In 1998 and 1999, he worked as a lacrosse coach at Irondequoit Central School District. In 2000, he became a modified lacrosse referee.

The cost is $35 per person in advance or $45 at the door. The social hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with the welcome and dinner scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Introductions will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m.
