August 31, 2014 - At the end of each sport season, the NYSPHSAA honors those teams that excel in the classroom. For lacrosse, a team must have at least eleven players who have a 90% average or better during the spring season.
One hundred and forty-eight NYS lacrosse teams were named this spring, with Cold Spring Harbor HS (Section 11) taking the highest honors this year with a team average of 95.64. Penn Yan Academy took second place on the list with an average of 95.19. Fourteen other Section Five teams were award winners. The fifteen teams are as follows:
