Colby Barker Selects Ohio State

Colby BarkerRising sophomore midfielder Colby Barker will be be joining his older brother, Brandon as Ohio State University after his graduation from Pittsford in 2017.

At 165 pound, 6'2", Colby had a standout year playing short-stick defensive midfield for the Panthers after moving from attack in his eighth grade year.

He was busy this summer, playing for the SweetLax Lacrosse Club at the Adrenaline Platinum Cup, Big4, Crabfest and SweetLax Invitational. At the Maverick Showtime he was named to the All-Star team.

Buckeyes' Head Coach Nick Meyers has been picking up Section Five players for a number of years. Currently playing is Luc Bailey (McQuaid). He will be joined, this fall, by Trevor Hodgins (Churchville-Chili). After next season, Brandon Barker (Pittsford) and Willie Klan (Schroeder) are committed.

Before choosing Ohio State, Colby considered Maryland, Syracuse, Cornell, and UVA.
