Monday: Pal-Mac over Gananda and Wayne over Geneva
 - 

A rare beautiful day sway two runaway games and two very close games. Pal-Mac fought off a determined Gananda and drove home with a 11-10 victory. Wayne defeated Geneva by a goal in their 9-8 win. Livonia beat Brockport and Rush-Henrietta beat the Thunder.

--  Game NOTE:Wayne scored five of the first six goals and held off a late push by Geneva to defeat the Panthers 9-8. The Panthers scored the first goal with Kyle Cosentino scoring unassisted. Four minutes later Wayne scored their first goal. Jon Ecker assisted Jake Moss with 5:13 remaining in the opening quarter. The Screaming Eagles scored two more goals in less than one minute with John Bowman and Andrew Jenkins both scoring unassisted. The first quarter ended with Wayne leading 3-1.

Wayne also scored the first two goals of the second quarter. Jenkins assisted John Bowman back to back only 0:07 apart to give the Screaming Eagles a 5-1 lead in the second quarter. Geneva`s Jason Feinberg scored the first two of his three goals during the contest to finish out the second quarter. The Screaming Eagles still held a two goal lead going into halftime.

Geneva kept their momentum going and scored two goals in the first two minutes of the third quarter. Feinberg added his third during a man-up attempt (assisted by Michael DeVaney) and then Eddie Eddington scored unassisted to tie the game with 10:38 remaining. Four minutes later Wayne scored the first in a three goal run with Bowman scoring off a feed from Cody Matteson. The Screaming Eagles added two more before the quarter ended to regain their three goal lead.

The final quarter began with two goals be Geneva, both unassisted. Hunter Seaward and Eddington scored for the Panthers. The tying goal came due to a defensive snafu. The Panthers were attributed with a Team Goal with 4:55 remaining to tie the game. One minute later the Screaming Eagles took the lead for the final time. Tim Oddi scored with an assist from Bowman to secure the win.

Wayne goalie Justin Townsend finished with 6s/7ga for the Screaming Eagles. Devon Tunley was in the cage for the team goal. Townsend and Austin Leckinger led in ground balls with five. Attackman Andrew Jenkins and midfielder Cody Matteson finished with four ground balls each. For the Panthers, Jacob Drennan finished at 50% with 9s/9ga. return to top

Pal-Mac at Gananda

--  Game NOTE:Ben Reeves was once again the major scoring factor in Pal-Mac`s 11-10 win over Gananda. Reeves finished with 6g-3a out of the 11 goals scored for the Red Raiders. The opening goal was scored by Jarrett Duchesneau 1:01 into the contest. Reeves was a part of the next seven goals for the Red Raiders. Reeves scored three unassisted goals to give Pal-Mac a 4-0 lead halfway through the opening quarter. Gananda fought back with the final two goals of the quarter from Zach Binggeli and Cruz Mayberry.

Reeves kept up the pressure in the second quarter with the first goal and assists on the second and third Pal-Mac goals. Gananda added three of their own to cut the lead to two. Entering halftime, Pal-Mac led 7-5. At the start of the third quarter, Pal-Mac added the first two goals with unassisted goals from Reeves and Brian Burger. Gananda came back strong in the second half of the third quarter with four unanswered goals to tie the game with 1:13 remaining in the third quarter. Joe Fisher scored three of the goals with Colin Brillian assisting on two of them. Kyle Lombardozzi scored the fourth goal. Three of the four goals in the run were scored during man-up play.

Reeves scored unassisted with 0:53 remaining in the third quarter to take back their one goal lead. The Red Raiders led by a single goal going into the final quarter, where both teams added a single goal. Nick Rapp (Gananda) and Stephen Morrell (Pal-Mac) each scored unassisted. The final goal of the game (Morrell`s) was also scored during man-up.

In the cage for Gananda, Marty LaFica finished with 12s/11ga (52%). Defenseman Dylan Joy finished with a team leading 11 ground balls. Attackman Collin Brillian and face-off midfielder Remmy Glod finished with four ground balls each.  return to top
