"One of Jarod's biggest strengths as a goalie is his mental toughness and mild manner. His ability to play in the moment allows him to continually make big saves in important moments keeps us in all games. In all my years as a player and a coach, I can't recall a goalie being as dialed in playing at such a high level as he did in the Thomas game", says his coach Dave Moore.
Defensive Player of the Week Colby Barker
On his second year on the Varsity, Freshman midfielder Colby Barker is a short-stick defensive midfielder who has found a rare skill. His one-on-one skills result in demonstrative take always and he has twice demonstrated an ability to control strong opposing midfielders.
His coach, Andrew Whipple sums it up, "Colby could definitely be playing offensive midfield for me this year but unselfishly excepts his role as more of a defensive guy and is excelling at that position."
Offensive Player of the Week Tim Oddi
The Wayne senior attackman is a three year letterman for the Eagles. Oddi scored the winning double overtime goal in their game with Gates and led the team scoring (3g-3a) in their win 10-7 win over Geneva in Finger Lakes play.
His coach, Jeff Ugine says: "Tim has really matured this year and has put us in good positions to score goals. He has always had a strong shot but is finding more teammates for assists. Tim is not scared to let it fly, but realizes the importance of getting everyone involved in the game. He has become a vocal leader and helped solidify a strong attack group for us so far this year."
Offensive Player of the Week Remmy Glod
The sophomore face off specialist from Gananda won 91 percent of his face offs to help the Blue Panthers beat previously undefeated Pal-Mac last week. In his seven games this year he has an 83-12 win record at the face off x and has picked up forty-three ground balls.
