May 5, 2014 - There will be a full day of lacrosse in Webster on Saturday, May 10th as the community celebrates their fiftieth anniversary of lacrosse in the town. Of course there will be games played at all levels, starting with K-2, 3-4 and 5-6 youth games for both boys and girls starting at 9:00 am. They will be followed by Modified and JV level games and will finish with a 3:00 game featuring the Thomas- Schroeder boys.
Throughout the day there will be vendors and exhibitions including Alfie Jacques, a Native American wooden stick maker. The Rochester Rattlers and Knighthawks will have some players in attendance and there will be lots to see and do.
In the evening there will be a banquet honoring the "founders and builders" of lacrosse in Webster. They will include present and former coaches, All Americans and Hall of Famers, legacy families and parents and more. Their will be a special recognition of "The father of Webster Lacrosse", Bill Guerrera who was the first varsity coach and Section Five Lacrosse Chairman for many years.
