Saturday: Pittsford Remains Undefeated with Win over OP
 - 

After taking a 10-3 halftime lead, Pittsford beat Orchard Park 12-6 this afternoon at St. John Fisher College. Pal-Mac had an exciting last minute win over Irondequoit and Canandaigua had a 11-9 win against a good team from Hamburg (Section 6). Churchville-Chili defeated Rush-Henrietta 9-1 and Penn Yan won a close one with Clarence (Section 6). Wayne beat Geneva 10-7, Marcus Whitman was an 11-5 winner over B-H and Penfield defeated West Seneca East from Section 6. Brighton and Thunder won their games and Fairport lost their game to Jamesville-DeWitt (Section 3). Livonia beat Bath on "Rivalry Day" but the real winners were the people who will benefit from the generosity of donors to the HEADStrong Foundation.

--  Game NOTE:Wayne scored three of their last four goals in their 10-7 win over Geneva. The Eagles started the game off strong with a four goal run spanning the end of the first and beginning of the second quarters. Wayne scored four straight goals, including two during a non-releasable man-up, to take at 4-1 lead halfway through the second quarter. Attackman Tim Oddi led in scoring for Wayne with 3g-3a. Wayne held a 5-2 lead going into the second half before Geneva attempted a late comeback. The Panthers scored two goals to end the third quarter as well as the first goal of the fourth quarter to bring the game within a single goal (6-5 with 10:05 remaining). The Panthers never got closer than one goal behind as Wayne scored three goals in less than two minutes. Andrew Jenkins, Chris Ecker and Jake Moss scored the final three goals for the Eagles.

Eddie Eddington led in scoring for Geneva with 4g-1a. In the cage, Ben Rotenberg (1s/5ga) and Jacob Drennan (5s/5ga) split halves. Wayne goalie Justin Townsend finished with 10 recorded saves (59%).
