There were fourteen games played today and a couple of exciting ones. Pittsford traveled to Hamilton College and beat Duxbury (Massachusetts). Churchville-Chili beat Canandaigua in overtime and McQuaid Jesuit defeated Irondequoit for the first time in their history. Waterloo was an 11-9 winner over Bath and Schroeder beat Spencerport 10-6. Brighton defeated visiting Livonia and Fairport beat Thomas. Other winners were Marcus Whitman who beat the new team from Watkins Glen (Section 4), Eastridge, Pal-Mac, Newark, Gananda, Victor and Penn Yan.

-- Brighton controlled their game with Livonia and finished with a 9-6 win. The Bulldogs had a late push (with three of the last four goals) but the Barons led for the rest of the game after taking the lead in the second quarter. The two teams traded goals in the opening quarter with scoring from Divonte Geiger and Jonathan Mohnkern from Livonia and Max Coke from Brighton. Coke scored the first three goals for the Barons.
The score was 2-2 after the first quarter. Brighton scored the opening two goals of the second quarter and never trailed again. They scored seven out of eight goals spanning the first three quarters. Midfielder Parker Finestone finished with six ground balls for Brighton. Midfielders Will Bender (5), Parker Lawrence (3) and Allen Vitale (3) also added to the ground ball count. In the cage, Andy Wong finished with 2 recorded saves.

-- Pittsford scored the first three goals and three of the last four goals in their 6-5 win over Duxbury (Massachusetts) in a game held at Hamilton College. Duxbury scored four straight unanswered goals spanning the 2nd and 3rd quarters and held the Panthers scoreless for 26 minutes. Three of their six goals were scored during man-up situations. Duxbury had 10 penalties for eight minutes.
Midfielder Brandon Barker led in scoring with 3g-1a and Jonathan Perotto finished with 2 goals for the Panthers. Defenseman Greg Weyl led the Panthers with five ground balls. Jared Connors, Kevin Maguire and Nick Panara finished with four ground balls each. Maguire played the entire game between the pipes and finished with 8 saves.
