Thomas scored the first three goals and never looked back as they defeated visiting Penfield 11-7. Mynderse was an 8-6 winner over Batavia-Attica, HF-L beat McQuaid Jesuit 7-5 and Aquinas improved their record to 2-0 with a 14-8 win over Bath. Hilton had a big 17-1 win in their game with Eastridge and Irondequoit beat Brighton 12-7.

-- Webster Thomas scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed in their 12-8 victory over Penfield. The Titans were in complete control of the game and led by six at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Thomas also spread out their scoring with five different players scoring two goals each and seven total players making the scorebook. Conversely, Penfield had five of their goals come from junior attackman Max Spaan. Spaan was responsible for 12 of Penfield's 30 total shots with only six total players taking shots in the entire game. Thomas had five players with over four shots with junior midfielder Kevin Hill leading with eight shots.
Junior midfielder Pat LeMoine scored the first goal in the first 40 seconds on an unassisted drive at the cage. A big part of Thomas' success came from face-off midfielder Cam Isaac who finished 12/17 (71%) for the Titans. Isaac scored his first goal with 6:51 remaining with an assist from Travis Ford. Spaan scored his first goal (unassisted) two minutes later. The final two minutes of the quarter had two goals. Thomas scored with 1:56 remaining with Isaac assisting Christian Nairy. Penfield scored the next goal to keep the game within a single goal at the end of the quarter. The final goal of the quarter was the first of five man-up goals during the contest.
The second quarter had Thomas scoring the first two goals to increase their lead and then held it. The first half finished with the score at 7-5. After an injury delay when a Penfield player was hurt in the third quarter, Thomas increased their scoring and won the quarter 4-1. By the end of the third quarter Thomas led 10-5. Entering the fourth quarter Isaac scored his second goal on a face off fast break goal only 0:07 into the quarter to give Thomas their largest lead of the game. Penfield added the final two goals of the game with Jake Sproule assisting Brian Wall and Mitch Standera assisting Ryan Fulton.
Defenseman Jacob O'Connor led the Patriots with three ground balls. In the cage, Liam Guiton finished with seven recorded saves for Penfield. Thomas' goalie Davis Bird finished with five recorded saves.

The Cougars were led in scoring by attackmen Ryan Kelly (3g-1a) and Tim Breau (2g-2a). Kelly and Breau were involved in all seven goals for HF-L. Heading into the fourth quarter, HF-L led 6-2 before the Knights outscored the Cougars 3-1 to conclude the game. In the cage for HF-L, Bryce Kelly finished with 10 saves (64%). McQuaid Jesuit was led in scoring by Jarrett Cook (2g). In the cage, Gianmarco Coelho played the majority of the game and finished with four recorded saves.
-- Bath started off in control with the first three goals of the contest, but the Little Irish fought back to win 14-8. Aquinas scored six unanswered goals spanning the third and fourth quarters and finished the game with nine of the last ten goals. The Rams only scored one goal in the entire second half of play. Bath midfielder Mitch Fuller finished at 67% for the face off draw (12/18). He also led his squad with six ground balls. LSM Chuckie Robinson finished with five and midfielder Patrick Brewer and goalie Jacob Cupp added four each. Cupp finished with five saves between the pipes.

-- Irondequoit scored the first four goals of the game in their 12-7 win over Brighton. The Eagles had scoring from four different players to start the game off with Trevor Carney, Daniel Doktor, Andrew Knope and Ben Lamendola each scoring goals. Knope assisted on two of those goals and Lamendola assisted on one. Brighton's Max Coke scored, with an assist from Allen Vitale, to finish the first quarter with Irondequoit leading 4-1.
The Barons fought back to within two goals in the second and third quarters. With 4:20 remaining in the third quarter, Coke scored his fourth goal of the game, again assisted by Vitale, to take the score to 9-7. Brighton was held scoreless for the remainder of the game. Meanwhile the Eagles added two more goals from Doktor and one more from Knope. In the cage for Brighton, Andy Wong finished at 50% with 12 saves. Irondequoit's Max Eisman finished with 9 recorded saves (56%).
-- The Blue Devils opened their season with a close win against Batavia-Attica as they finished with an 8-6 victory as home. B-A scored the first goal of the game as Trevor Rittersback hit the back of the net. Mynderse returned quickly on a nice feed by Teddy Stuck to Francis Leddy. Batavia-Attica ended the first quarter with a goal by Tyler Fales.
Mynderse pulled ahead in the second quarter with four goals (two by Sebastian Reese), while holding B-A to two. With seventeen seconds left in the first half Mynderse Coach called a time-out and set up an isolation play for Mike Barbay, who drew the double and found Nick Shaffer for the goal. The half ended with Mynderse up 4-5.
After moving back and forth at the top of the third quarter, B-A tied the game on a goal by Rittersback but Mynderse recaptured the lead with another goal by Reese to finish the quarter up 6-5. Batavia-Attica tied the scored once again in the early fourth quarter, but with 3:44 left in the game, Mynderse Academy came up with two goals for the win. Barbay once again found Leddy and Matt Caratzazzolo scored on a feed from Stuck.
