October 12, 2013 - Churchville-Chili seniors Jake Mortier and Justin Ferraraccio have made their decisions to study and continue to play lacrosse after their graduation next spring.
Midfielder Jake Mortier has decided to attend and play for LeMoyne next year. The midfielder was name to the second team all Monroe County (D-3) team last year after posting 22g-10a toward his two year totals of 33g-14a.
Off-season he played for three years with the Blaze Lacrosse Club and also played on the Churchville Club team. In 2012 be played on the Nike Upstate Rising Junior team.
Mortier considered Mercyhurst, Limestone and Brockport before selecting LeMoyne where the Dolphins just celebrated receiving their championship rings for winning the NCAA DII title in 2013.
Justin Ferraraccio is defenseman for the Saints and will stay close to home as he has decided to play and study at Roberts Wesleyan College next fall. Last year he earned an honorable mention in the Monroe County (D-3) League.
Off season he has played with the Churchville Club and also, for two years, with the Blaze Lacrosse Club.
The Roberts Wesleyan program is relatively new, and on track to receive full NCAA D=II membership during Ferraraccio`s stay with the Red hawks. Many Section V players are on the roster and Ferraraccio will expect to play with current players which include Shane Cole and Andrew Tirabassi (R-H), London Booker (G-C), Seth Miller (Spencerport) and Keith Keehn (Penfield)
Ferraraccio also considered Albany, Mercyhurst, Binghamton and RIT. |
