Mike Manley Returns to Rochester

ManleyPenn Yan and Duke graduate defenseman, Mike Manley has returned to the Rochester Area to become the Director of Lacrosse for the new Rochester Campus of Northern Educate.

Manley was a three time All-American at Penn Yan where helping the Mustangs win five straight Section Five Championships. He was twice named SportsFive Defensive Player of the Year. At Duke, he was a two time Captain, was ACC Rookie of the Year (2007) and was twice named the the ACC All-Tournament teams. In 2010 he helped Duke win the NCAA Championship and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team while earning All American honors in 2010 and 2012.

Originating in Minnesota as a hockey oriented school, Northern Educate is a school for boys and girls in grades K-12 that provides individualized curriculum for students with high level interest in athletics. Built on a charter school format, with distance learning and live teachers, Northern Educate also provides nearly five hundred hours of sports instruction to its students interested in lacrosse, hockey and other sports. The Rochester program will open in the fall of 2013.
