| August 1, 2013 -  The second edition of the Empire State Cup tournament starts today in Syracuse with six games scheduled for Onondaga Community College. The tournament was revived by Tony Ventiquattro, after the announcement that the Empire State Games would not be played this summer in Rochester.
Modeled, loosely, after the very successful Empire State Games, feature teams from six regions of the state who will play four days of games from Thursday through Sunday. The six games on Thursday will be followed by nine games on Friday. Four bracketed games will be held on Saturday and the consolation, bronze medal and gold medal games will be played on Sunday.
