Geneva Topped Both Offense and Defense Last Spring

With an average of 2.69 goals against and 14.88 goals per game, Geneva topped the offensive and defensive stats in the 2013 season. They scored in double digits in fourteen of their seventeen games and Canandaigua scored the most goals against the Panthers (8ga).

Offense 2013Senior midfielder Sean Cunningham (60g-43a), junior midfielders Matt Miller (44g-7a) and Eddie Eddington (36g-8a) along with senior attackman Drew Feinberg (28g-60a) and junior attackman Jessie Singleton (28g-14a) produced nearly seventy-five percent of the goals.

Senior goalie Derek Grillone had the majority of goal time and made 128 saves (72%). Sixty percent of their 264 goals were assisted with two thirds produced by Feinberg and Cunningham.

Livonia placed second in the list for offense with an average of 14.1 goals scored. They placed fifteenth in defense with 7.8ga. The Bulldogs scored 248 goals, with seniors Josh Wester (65g-38a), Derek Bishopp (58g-21a) and Mitchell Kinney(52g-26a) producing 71% of the goals.

Offense 2013Palmyra-Macedon was in third place for office with an average of 13.6 goals scored per game. With 158 of their 234 goals assisted (70%), junior midfielder Ben Reeves was involved in 68% of the Pal-Mac scoring.

On the defensive side of the stats, Penn Yan placed second with an average 3.9 goals against. Aquinas scored the greatest number of goals against the Mustangs in their 9-15 loss. The Mustangs recorded one shutout with junior goalie Brandon Maciejewski (178 saves = 68%) in the cage.

Pittsford placed third on the defensive list with an average of 5.3 goals against. Only Fairport was able to reach double digits against the Panthers when they won a 10-9 overtime game in the least game of the regular season. Sophomore goalie Kevin Maguire took move of the time between the pipes of Pittsford, recording 119 saves (59%).
