July 9, 2013 - At the end of each sport season, the NYSPHSAA honors those teams that excel in the classroom. For lacrosse, a team must have at least eleven players who have a 90% average or better during the spring season.
One hundred and forty-seven NYS lacrosse teams were named this spring, with Lockport High School (Section 6) taking the highest honors this year with a team average of 95.853. In Section V, fifteen of the thirty-seven teams were honored, which is up from twelve in 2012. They are as follows:
