LAST YEAR

2012 SEASON

The Wildcat program continued to grow in 2012 as they posted their first winning season (10-8 overall). Their 9-4 Finger Lakes record placed them 4th in the league. Seeded 8th in the class C tournament, they finished as seeded after beating East Rochester 11-5 in the out bracket and then losing to Penn Yan in the quarter finals.

Six players scored more than twenty points during the season. Senior attackman Jeffrey Bero led in goal production and points with 46g-18a (64 pts). Senior midfielder Clay Wilson led in assists with 24g-23a. The other four were junior attackmen Karl Gray (16g-17a) and Connor Kelly (14g-18a) and senior midfielders Matt Hey (18g-8a) and Taylor Lazzaro (14g-18a).

Sophomore goalie Merritt Bailey marked his second year on the Varsity with 192 saves (56%). Seniors Oliver Oswald and Jordan Truley led the long sticks out front.

Bero, Wilson and Oswald made first team All-Finger Lakes honors and Truley made the Second Team.

Alfred University picked up Bero, Lazzaro and Oswald who plan to play for the Saxons in 2013.
