PITTSFORD TRADEGY UPDATE

Funeral plans announced - Pittsford Team plans

April 15 , 2007 - A "Celebration of Jeff's Life" will be held on Monday, April 16th from 4-7 pm in the gymnasium of the Church of the Transfiguration, in Pittsford (50 West Bloomfield Road). A Service of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 17th at noon a the Church of the Transfiguration. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jeff Milano-Johnson Memorial Fund, c/o JP Morgan Chase Bank, 13 State Street, Pittsford, NY 14534.

It appears, at this points that the Pittsford team will, as some point resume their season. It is expected that the game with Victor this week will be cancelled.

SOME GREAT GAMES THIS WEEK

Great Match ups this week

April 15, 2007 - There are forty games scheduled for this week and a number of "must see" games.
 
On Tuesday we may get a look at a potential Section final four game as Schroeder and Canandaigua play at McAvoy (4pm). A big GRALL game, also on Tuesday is Livonia at McQuaid (7pm). Of course, the weather may have an impact on these games.
  
On Friday Lafayette travels to Penn Yan (7pm) and on Saturday there is Thomas/Penfield, Brighton/Victor, Canandaigua/Corning East and Geneva/Corning West. In what could be a preview of the State quarterfinal game, Schroeder will play Orchard Park at McAvoy Park (2pm),
  
Of course, if your team is playing, it's always a big, must see game.

STATS PAGES UNDERWAY

Leader Board, Team and Individual Stat Pages up and Running

April 15, 2007 - After several weeks, the Stat Pages are proving to be a popular addition to the SportsFive web site.
  
Top in scoring at the end of last week are once again Mitch Ritchie (McQuaid), Grant Catalino (Schroeder) and Tyler Russell (Livonia). Assist leaders include Max Gurowski (Thomas), Kyle Boncaro (Geneva) and Grant Catalino (Schroeder).

Goalies with the largest number of saves include Matt Landfried (Batavia), Dan Caufield (McQuaid) and Shawn Andrus (Waterloo) and goalies with the highest percentage of saves include Zach Nash (Irondequoit), Aaron Donahey (Hilton) and RJ Wickham (PY).

March 27, 2007 - There is lots to do before leaving for the game and SportsFive has a checklist to make sure you are in the know. Check the weather. Check the schedule for last minute changes. Print team rosters. Get directions to the game site and look at the aerial view.

Kyle's Byline up on the Blog

April 15, 2007 - Kyle Barrett is now publishing a review of the stat leaders each week in his blog column.

This week he notes: "Week 4, from 4/9 to 4/15, saw a drastic change from the previous weeks. This past week saw midfielders taking center stage as they led their respective teams to victory."
